Former motel proprietor, elementary school teacher and principal, thespian, city councilman, and community volunteer, David “Dave” Peterson passed unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep on February 18, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Allillian Heneva Henrietta (Robertson) and Lester Sherman Peterson; his sister Margaret Louise (Peterson) Rasmussen; and his daughter, Colleen Marie Peterson. He is survived by his children, Jessica (Daniel) Olsen, Jeanne (Kyle) Monson, and Christopher (Kimberly) Peterson; and his seven grandchildren, Brianna, Nathan, Chase, Arianna, Elias, Reagan, and Amanda.
His children and grandchildren mourn his loss, even as they celebrate his reunion with his wife and daughter, in a place where the coffee is hot, the fish are always biting, and everyone laughs at his jokes. In honor of his request, no service will be held.
