Grand Marais photographer David Johnson has won more honors with the selection of two photos for inclusion in the most recent edition of Capture Minnesota.
Johnson’s photos–chosen by voters–were North Woods Aurora and Sunset at Brule River Valley.
In all, readers cast 17.5 million votes to determine which of the 407,536 submitted photos were to be included in the 144-page hardback book billed as “Minnesota by Minnesota photographers… The best of Minnesota in photos, captured by people that love Minnesota and voted on by folks like you.”
Volume IV of the prestigious series includes over 200 photos and is published by Twin Cities Public Television. It features photos from all parts of the state.
Johnson is a frequent contributor to the Cook County News-Herald and has won numerous awards for his work, in particular his photographs featuring the local landscape and wildlife. His photos may be seen at davidrjohnson.zenfolio.com
