David F. Anderson died unexpectedly on Thursday February 24th, 2022. He was born January 26th, 1949, to Fred and Charlene Anderson of Grand Marais MN. After graduating from Cook County High School in 1967, he joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many.
Survivors include: His wife of 25 years Cherie, his mother, Charlene, 6 children: Tiffany Anderson – MN, Heidi Doo (Jordy) Kirk – MN, Brandon (Melissa) Anderson – AK, Nichole Anderson – TX, Eric (Jessica) Anderson – TX, and Joelle (Shaun) Vetting – WI. He is further survived by 3 siblings: Vicky (Gene) Stagg – IA, Laurie (Lyle) Spry – MN, and Alton (Jane) Anderson – MN, 2 siblings in law: Michele LaFond (Vicky Storzer) – WI, Dave (Kristen) LaFond – KS, father-in-law James LaFond (Shirley Andrews) – WI as well as 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father: Fred, sister: Wanda, brother: Aaron, and son: Chris.
In respect of his wishes, there will be no funeral service. Burial will take place in Grand Marais MN at the family plot in August during Fisherman’s Picnic.
