Cook County Higher Education, in collaboration with the Cook County Visitors Bureau, will offer customer service training – “How to Deal with Difficult Dan and Communicate with Confused Carla!”
Excellent customer service is vital to your organization’s success and staff training is essential to great delivery. On June 22 – 23, Bob Anderson of Star Performance and Maggie Barnard from the Cook County Visitors Bureau will combine efforts on a presentation of what it takes to provide “top of the line” customer service.
The training will focus on key concepts such as Cook County’s top summer requests, where to find the answers to frequently asked questions, discussion of customer personalities and situations that require a little extra attention, brainstorming new ideas and sharing personal best practices that can be used to provide a wonderful “true north” experience, and role playing difficult customer service situations, ending with a team challenge contest.
Bob Anderson has been in the business of sales development and training since 1983 and has developed training programs for a variety of customers in different segments of the hospitality industry. Maggie Barnard, events director for the Cook County Visitors Bureau, has over 30 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.
“How to Deal with Difficult Dan and Communicate with Confused Carla!” will be available for two days. On June 22, the workshop will be offered from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the North Shore Campus in Grand Marais. On June 23 the training will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Lutsen Resort.
The workshops are free of charge and open to all. To pre-register, contact Cook County Higher Education at highered@boreal.org or 387-3411. Pre-registration is requested by June 17.
