Nick Cusick
Cook County Public Information Coordinator Nickolas Cusick is leaving his position, but he isn’t moving far. Nick has accepted a new job with Visit Cook County.
Cusick’s final day in his current role will be July 13. He will start working at Visit Cook County on July 15, taking on the Events & Marketing Coordinator role.
“After much deliberation, and with my experience and education in the tourism industry, it was just something I could not pass up,” said Cusick.
A native of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Nick received a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Winona State University. Before accepting the job in Cook County last February. He spent the last 6.5 years in the destination marketing field, most recently as Marketing & Communications Director for Visit Saint Paul. Nick also worked for multiple newspapers with Lee Enterprises as a journalist and editor and was also the Muscatine Convention & Visitors Bureau Director before returning to Saint Paul.
Nick was the first Cook County Public Information Coordinator, a position shared with the County and North Shore Health.
