The Cook County Curling Club held its final club Open League playdowns the evening of March 23, 2016. There were a lot of very close games that led up to this final event, which means that the teams were evenly matched.

The final game was between the Mike Christianson team—with teammates Mike Christianson, Jaime Spry, Bruce Waltz and Debbie Bakke—and the Brian Olsen team. The curlers on the Olsen team are Greg Gresczyk, Mike Ryden, Tony Everson and Brian Olsen.

The draw started out being close with it being mostly a takeout game, but the Christianson team conceded after the seventh end. Congratulations to the Brian Olsen team for their win!

The curling season has come to an end for 2015-2016.

If you are interested in curling the 2016-2017 season, curling classes will resume in the fall and league play will start in November. Watch for the 6th Annual Open Bonspiel the weekend of October 28 – 30, 2016.
