The Cook County Curling Club held its annual Open Bonspiel over the weekend of March 11 – 13, 2011. Although we had a small bonspiel all the participants seemed to have a good time.
With four teams from Canada and one from Two Harbors joining seven local teams, the club was bouncing from 6:00 p.m. Friday until the last rock came to a stop in the last game on Sunday.
The finals in the first event featured two Canadian teams with the results not being determined until the last rock was thrown. All agreed that we need to get more teams next year and some help will come from our friends from North of the border.
