Curling enthusiast Jim King encourages anyone interested in curling to join the Cook County Curling Club February Fun League on Wednesdays in February. The sessions, which are free, will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. starting February 3. New, novice, returning curlers-all are welcome. Men and women of all ages are welcome.
Thefirst half hour of each session will have instruction on delivery, sweeping, rules, scoring, and strategy. The next 90 minutes will be actual games so participants have the opportunity to try all the positions they’ve been practicing.
Each participant needs a clean pair of rubber soled shoes or books, with no sand or salt on shoes.
