Pincushion Ski Trails
The base is two to four inches with two to three 3 inches of light new snow that fell on Tuesday. Trails were partially groomed on Wednesday morning. Several trails were rolled and combed with two passes on East Overlook, Stadium, West Overlook, Snowman and one pass on Lynn’s Loop. Plans are to roll one pass on the remaining trails tonight (December 16) to set a base for wind-blown snow over the next couple of days. Other trails are not yet deep enough to set track. The new snow was very light and soft, so the combed surface is pretty soft.
The North Superior Ski and Run Club maintain the ski trails at Pincushion, with the financial support of sponsorships and memberships and also a grooming grant we receive from the Great MN Ski Pass program.
Sugarbush Trail Report
The base and snow depth on the trails is 2-3 inches. Two inches fell over the last 24 hours and the total snowfall for the season is 15 inches. We received 2” of fluffy, powder snow last night, so Darren went out and rolled Onion River Road this morning. We need more snow, in order to groom the remainder of the trails.
