COVID-19 cases fall in the county

Over the course of seven days from March 3 to March 10 Cook County received just one new case of COVID-19. That brings the total to 822 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

Cook County Public health reported that as of March 10 some 4,403 Cook County residents have been fully vaccinated.

To date, Cook County has had four deaths attributed to COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Cook County Public Health includes over the counter antigen positive COVID-19 results in its data. Those tests were reported to Cook County Public Health and Human Services or reported by Grand Portage Health Services. Over-the-counter antigen tests are sent to the Minnesota Department of Health and are therefore not counted in their tally of COVID-19 cases.
