COVID-19 cases continue to climb in Cook County



As of Tuesday, November 10, there were 36 cases of COVID-19 in Cook County, with 1.6 percent of tested county residents found positive.

The county received four new COVID-19 cases since Thursday, November 5. Those cases include a male in his 20’s, a male in his 30’s, a male in his 70’s and a female in her 20’s.

Starting January 2020 through September, the county had a total of seven cases of the coronavirus. From mid-October on, the county has seen a dramatic uptick in new COVID-19 cases, which is following a statewide trend.

To keep abreast of the pandemic, the Cook County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) provides regular updates to the public and media regarding the status of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on our community. Current information will be posted on the COVID-19 Response Hub found on the county website. Please check back often, as this is a rapidly changing situation.
