COVID-19 cases continue to climb

COVID-19 looks like it is here to stay. At least for the near future.

This past week the county PHHS reported 24 new cases over the last seven days. That brought the total count to 1,060 since the start of the pandemic.

Cook County has 3,209 folks who are up to date on their vaccinations. “Up to date” is the term that the Minnesota Department of Health began using March 2022 for those who have their regular shots and boosters.

Case totals are reported by Cook County Public Health and Human Services and Grand Portage Health and Human Services. These totals include over-the-counter antigen positive test results. These over-the-counter antigen test results are not shared with the Minnesota Department of Health, so the state and county numbers for COVID-19 cases are not the same.
