The $1.9 million project on County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 7 is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, June 5 and be completed in late August, the Cook County Highway Department announced on May 24.
Ulland Brothers, Inc. of Cloquet, MN, will be the contractor for the 2.51-mile project, which runs from CSAH 6 to CSAH 15 (5th Avenue West). The project includes repair and replacement of culverts and storm sewer, repair of existing subgrade, removal and replacement of curb and gutter, and placement of new bituminous pavement. Alignments and profiles will not be affected as part of this project.
According to County Engineer David Betts, traffic will periodically be restricted to one lane and parking along the curb and gutter will be restricted during construction. He urged motorists to plan accordingly and to drive with caution in all work zones.
