A ninth Cook County resident has tested positive for COVID-19, county officials have determined. The case is expected to show up on the Minnesota Department of Health site in the next few days.
The individual is a female in her 50s. Contact tracing is underway.
“This is an important reminder of the role we each play in keeping one another safe,” said Cook County Emergency Operations Center Incident Co-Commander Grace Grinager. “Please wear a mask correctly and consistently, wash your hands regularly, stay six feet apart from those in other households, and stay home when ill.”
These measures, though small, have played a vital role in slowing the pace of new cases in Cook County, Grinager stated.
