County attorney should step down

Why hasn’t Tim Scannell done the mature thing and resigned from his job? He hasn’t only insulted his wife and children, the girl and her family, but all of Cook County. We don’t need this kind of publicity.

He’s an embarrassment to our city and county. I understand that he cannot be fired, because he was elected, and it is a process to remove him. But he should remove himself now instead of waiting to lose when his term is up, because believe me, he will not be elected again.

As for his PTSD, he may have it, but he cannot use it for an excuse. It sounds to me from the parents’ complaint that he was already involved with the girl before he got shot. Good excuse, but it doesn’t fly.

Isn’t there a moral clause in his job description? Isn’t there a moral clause with the state that he is licensed in? If there isn’t, there should be.

I certainly hope that he has been removed as a tennis coach. Who needs to worry about what he is doing with some other 16-yearold? (You know the age of consent is 16 in Minnesota, therefore, he did nothing wrong!)

If he were any kind of man, he would step down. But then we already know he isn’t!
