The Cook County Council on Aging board of directors is accepting applications for new members for the 2011 year. Board directors are all volunteers from different walks of life who care about our seniors living in Cook County. Meetings are held once a month on the first Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Cook County Senior Center in Grand Marais. Board members also serve on committees that meet as needed to assist in providing assistance to our staff.
The Council on Aging board of directors sets policies and gives direction and support to the Cook County Senior Center staff regarding programming, services, events and use of the Senior Center. They are responsible for approving expenses and projects to keep the Senior Center building running smoothly. If you are looking for a way to support your community and work with our mature adult population, please consider joining the Cook County Council on Aging board of directors.
Stop by the Senior Center to pick up an application. Call Bev Green at 387-2660 for more information.
