TheGrand Marais Playhouse is pleased to present an extraordinary opportunity — two workshops will be held on costuming for the theater with visiting artist Pam Knourek.
These workshops will be July 20 and 21 from 1 to 5 p.m. Cost is $10 per session. Participants will learn various costuming techniques for transforming modern clothes to period style for men and women, including taking modern suits and changing the period, along with exploring basic flat patterning. Pam will also share some building for the theater techniques and tricks.
Knourek is currently a member of the costume technology faculty at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Her costuming experience encompasses theater, film, television and advertising. This is a rare opportunity for anyone interested in the world of costuming. For more information or to register for the sessions, contact the Playhouse office.
