. Due to incorrect information provided to the News-Herald, a domestic assault that was reported Aug. 8 and appeared in last week’s Cook County Law Enforcement Briefs did not occur at the Gunflint Motel, but took place at a neighboring property.
. In the August 17, 2013 article Birch Grove Community Center—no second story senior housing it was incorrectly reported that the 2014 levy was set at $183,197. The correct levy for 2014 was set at $180,197. The News-Herald apologizes for the error.
. The August 17 News-Herald article entitled County board moving closer to finding administrator mistakenly stated, “Commissioner Sue Hakes said she wanted to see all 36 resumes because she was curious and because she wanted the board to be able to throw out any applicants they might know and have disqualifying information about.” Commissioner Hakes actually said, “… I’d like to see all 36 just on the outside chance that there is someone out there that one of us knows that doesn’t, for some reason, make the cut and we have different information about that person.” The News-Herald apologizes for the error.
