Cook County News Herald

Corrections:

. In the October 27 article Questions for mayor and city council candidates, there was an error in the interview with City Councilor Jan Sivertson. Sivertson grew up in Duluth and spent most of her life in Minnesota, not Wisconsin. The News-Herald apologizes for the error and any confusion it may have caused.

. In the October 27 article Moose Madness hits Grand Marais again, the information we received on the winners of the Moose Medallion contest was incorrect. The winners were Tom and Julie Nelson, however it was not their son Caster, but their grandson, Caster. Apologies to the Nelson family for that error.

. Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Mary Manning contacted the Cook County News-Herald with additional information regarding the October 27 article DNR firefighter struck by stray pellet from shotgun. The hunter in the incident was issued a written warning on what was deemed a preventable hunting accident.
