Correction:

In the October 26, 2013 article The Life and Times of Jim Korf, we incorrectly identified the man riding a moose in one of Korf’s paintings. We reported that it was Dennis Todd, however, it was another longtime Gunflint Trail fishing guide. His name is being withheld to protect the adventurous, but for the record, the moose ridden by our anonymous guide was a bull not a cow. The man was almost killed, not by the angry bull, but by the bitterly cold water. The Cook County News-Herald regrets the error.
