The October 22, 2011 article entitled Seniors, skating and cemetery discussed in Tofte states that County Commissioner Bruce Martinson said the county would be raising property taxes to meet its 2012 expenditures. Martinson was actually informing the Tofte board that the state’s elimination of the homestead credit would result in property tax bills being higher next year.
