Correction:

In the July 9, 2011 county board article entitled Broadband commission adjusts direction, the 2011-12 Cook County Events and Visitors Bureau budget was mistakenly referred to as the Cook County Visitors Bureau budget, and the amount listed was $223,521.36. The Cook County Events and Visitors Bureau is actually underneath the umbrella of the Cook County Visitors Bureau. Its 2011-12 budget is $502,144.72. The other amount is that of the Lutsen- Tofte Tourism Association, one of the five organizations that are part of the Cook County Events and Visitors Bureau. The News-Herald apologizes for the error.
