In the November 13 Cook County News-Herald
article on page 8 entitled County retains 100-year flood standard for storm runoff,
County Commissioner Jim Johnson was mistakenly credited with saying something Commissioner Jan Hall had actually said. The paragraph should have read: “Commissioner Jan Hall expressed concern about over-control by the state, saying she hopes the state considers the cost of setting such high standards. ‘Coming down the line,’ she said, ‘is regulation after regulation.” The News-Herald
apologizes for the error and the writer plans to scribble her notes more carefully in the future.
