In a brief news release about purchasing tree fencing from the North Shore Collaborative it was incorrectly stated that white spruce trees were fenced. It should have stated: “In its first year of the program last spring, 38 participants planted and fenced over 1,000 white pine and white cedar trees on their properties along the shore. An additional 3,000 white spruce trees which do not require fencing were planted.” The News-Herald regrets the error.
