Correction:

In the July 30, 2016 article Troubles at Grandview Park and some changes for the Lutsen Fire Department, it was incorrectly reported that a new state statute now allows First Responders to participate in the fire department Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) retirement program. This is not a new statute. The policy of allowing First Responders to participate in the PERA program is new to the Lutsen Fire Department. The News-Herald apologizes for the error.
