Cool Cats take home some medals at Special Olympics



 

 

Awesome!

Stupendous!

Fun!

These words may be a bit understated to use to describe the day the Cook County Kool Cats had at the Special Olympics Minnesota Track and Field Day.

Melissa Oberg who teaches special education at I.S.D. 166 filed this report.

“Congrats to the Cool Cats for a victory at the Special Olympics, Minnesota Track and Field Event on May 23rd!

Winner of the 25 M walk was Luke with his Unified Partner, Grace.

First place in the softball throw was Benny with his Unified Partner, Kalina.

First place in the 2 X 50-meter dash was the team of Matt and Amery.

Jeremy and his Unified Partner, Ty won the 100 M Dash.

Wyatt and his Unified Partner, Kyla won the long jump.

And first place of the Agility course was Tori with her Unified partner, Ruby!

Congratulations to all of the kids who participated and to their helpers.
