I would like to thank the many people who made our “Cookies for Troops” drive a huge success.
Besides cookies and treats, over $300 came in for mailing the boxes overseas. This created a surplus, enabling us to have another batch of goodies sent to troops in January in time for Valentine’s Day. I’ll send out information at that time, letting people know the exact dates.
Special thanks to the Girl Scouts led by Laura LaFavor, Cheryl Ford, and Sandy Bockovich, who packed the treats. Thanks to Kathleen Johnson who filled out the many custom forms and provided packing tape! Thank you Gene’s IGA for the huge box of freshly baked cookies and licorice – a total surprise and most welcomed!
And kudos to the Sawtooth Mountain Elementary School’s third grade who donated just over $30, all on their own! I can’t even name all the people who offered help!
Thanks again to this great community for your incredible generosity in remembering our troops!
