Cook County seeks Firewise Coordinator



Cook County is seeking applicants interested in serving as the local Firewise Coordinator. This contracted position will provide professional services to coordinate county Firewise activities in cooperation with the Cook County Firewise Committee, Cook County Community Wildfire Protection Plan Coordinating Committee and partners in wildfire hazard mitigation.

The Firewise Coordinator will work with the Cook County Emergency Management Director, local fire departments, additional partner agencies and residents of Cook County to reduce the risk of wildfire damage to structures in Cook County through planning and implementation of mitigation strategies as outlined in the Cook County Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
