Cook County needs a Firewise Coordinator. The Firewise Coordinator will work with the Cook County Emergency Management Director, local Fire Departments, and other partner agencies, and the citizens of Cook County to reduce the risk of wildfire damage to structures in Cook County through planning and implementation of mitigation strategies as outlined in the Cook County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP).
Cook County seeks applicants to provide professional services to coordinate Firewise activities in the county, in cooperation with the Cook County Firewise Committee, Cook County Community Wildfire Protection Plan coordinating committee and partners in wildfire hazard mitigation.
