Cook County Northerns off to a swimming good start





 

 

place. The team has been working on freestyle technique over the past couple of weeks and the hard work paid off at the meet!

All of the girls placed within the top 5 in all of their events. Results from the meet are listed below:

Four swimmers represented the Cook County YMCA Northerns swim team at a meet in Duluth on Saturday, October 17. After only two weeks of practice, athletes dropped time from their personal bests achieved in the 2014-15 season, and swam new races and relays as well.

A few standout moments include Chloe Blackburn’s finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, Martine Redshaw’s first 100-freestyle race, Olivia Nesgoda-Works’ flip turn in her 50 backstroke, and Shaelyn Hingos’ great relay starts/exchanges.
