Cook County YMCA Northerns participated in a meet with over 400 swimmers at Lincoln Park Middle School on Saturday, December 12. Liv Hedstrom and Lexi Surbaugh swam a relay at the Lincoln Park pool competition.
The Northern Sectional Swim Meet is a little over a month away and the Cook County YMCA Northerns got the opportunity to size up their competition last weekend in Duluth. Over 400 swimmers from Grand Rapids, Duluth, Brainerd, Superior, and Cook County competed at Lincoln Park Middle School last Saturday, December 12.
These are the teams that make up the Northern Section in the Minnesota YMCA State Swim League. On January 30, these teams will join together once again in Grand Rapids for the Sectional Swim meet. The top three swimmers in each event advance on to the State meet in February.
Often times, swimmers from our sections also get wild cards if they are in the top 5. Below is a list of all the top 5 finishers.
