Soon, readers who get the Cook County News-Herald online will be notified that we are no longer using Our Hometown as our web provider. Instead, CherryRoad Media has built its own website, which we will transfer to.
We hope the transition will be smooth but understand there could be a bobble here or there as we relaunch.
We want to thank the staff at Our Hometown for their very fine service and attention to detail. They have done an excellent job for us, and we wish them nothing but the best.
Here are a few key notes related to this launch:
• Current subscribers will receive correspondence with important information to gain access to their accounts on our new site.
• Subscribers will receive an email for each digital issue on the day of publication: it will have a picture of and link to the current e-edition.
• Non-subscribers will be able to read a few lines of each article then see the prompt to register for a plan.
• Obituaries, Classifieds and Legals will stay in front of the paywall and be available to all visitors.
• The new websites will have an expandable ADA accessibility toolbar located in the bottom right corner.
• Historical content will be available in the near future.
For issues with logging in, the site display, viewing site content, or signing up for a plan once the new site is live, subscribers can call 218-387-9100 or 973-541-4210 or email subscriberhelp@cherryroad.com.
