The driver said the report
was required by the insurance

10:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy
assistance requested to clear up a
domestic dispute.
1:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that
a storage unit was broken into, and
two touring bikes were missing.
1:49 p.m., Grand Marais: “Stink bag”
set off in the hallway of the high
school.

7:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Report that
some photos on a bulletin board in
a resident’s room at the Care Center
were defaced.
1:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Thunder
Bay man, 56, cited for speeding.
5:12 p.m., Grand Portage: Power
outage reported.
10:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Terroristic
threats by e-mail reported.
Wednesday, April 27
11:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Death of
an elderly woman reported at a South
Shore Road residence. Search &
Rescue responded.
Thursday, April 28
10:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller
reported that a person is driving
around in a vehicle on which the
driver’s door does not completely
close, so the door is partially open all
the time.
8:22 p.m., Tofte: Anoka man, 33, cited
for speeding.
9:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Dead
deer lying on the fog line near the
cemetery.
Saturday, April 30
8:01 a.m., Lutsen: Thunder Bay
woman, 21, cited for speeding.
12:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller
reported that someone left a large
black bag of animal parts at the end
of his driveway. A game warden
investigated and found it was a
quartered deer.
7:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck
and killed on the highway. Passersby
pulled the carcass from the road.
Sunday, May 1
1:01 a.m., Grand Marais: St. Paul
man, 25, arrested and booked into jail
for DUI and limited license violation.
1:48 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller
requested that a deputy check on
his sister, because he feared she had
taken a bunch of pills and had been
drinking. There was no answer at
the door, but the deputy could see
through the window that the woman
was breathing and sleeping, and
appeared to be okay.
1:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy
transported a man to detox.
8:00 a.m., Grand Marais: A
person setting up for the Ham
Run accidentally damaged some
mailboxes on County Road 12 and
North Gunflint Road with his vehicle.
He said he would take care of the
repairs.
6:54 p.m., Colvill: Ontario woman,
27, cited for speeding.
