Monday, April 11
4:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage reported
on County Road 44. REA notified.
9:05 a.m., Grand Marais: Residential security
alarm. Deputy checked residence and all was
found to be okay.
9:26 a.m., Grand Marais: Possible child abuse
investigation.
9:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Gas drive-off of $50
reported by Super America. It was determined it
was not intentional, but a mistake with a credit
card.
5:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of water running over the Old Shore Road. The Highway
Department responded and cleared the debris.
7:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy and fire chief
helped a resident get into her apartment after she
was locked out.
Tuesday, April 12
12:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais woman,
44, cited for inattentive driving.
12:57 p.m., Grand Portage: Verbal altercation
reported at a Townsite Road residence. The male
party damaged a door.
2:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported that
threats were made to him.
9:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a large washout on Camp 20 Road. Highway Department notified. 9:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais man, 44,
arrested for DWI.
10:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a very intoxicated man sitting on a bench near the Community
Center , and then walking toward the playground.
The caller said it looks like he could use some
assistance.
Wednesday, April 13
9:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Prisoner transported to
Lake County for court.
Thursday, April 14
6:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of frozen water
across both lanes at mile marker 108, at Bear
Track Outfitters. MnDOT informed.
11:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Residence checks
requested after a person watching someone’s
home found tracks on the property.
12:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of possible
sexual harassment at the Care Center.
3:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called because
an ex-husband was taking things from the house
he is not supposed to be taking.
9:21 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy called to help
resolve a domestic situation.
11:32 p.m., Grand Portage: Harassment reported.
Friday, April 15
1:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Reckless driving and
destruction reported at the municipal campground. It appeared as though two cars drove offroad and destroyed a campsite.
6:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance called to the
high school gym, where two students collided and
one was semi-conscious. She was taken to the hospital. Saturday, April 16
1:30 a.m., Grand Portage: Harassment reported.
10:33 a.m., Lutsen: Deputy requested after an
Ontario man, 18, was caught skiing without a
ticket.
10:52 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance requested at the
ski hill for a 53-year-old man with a back injury.
1:05 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill
for a 38-year-old man with neck and back injuries.
2:31 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill
for a 46-year-old man with a back injury.
3:43 p.m., Lutsen: Ski hill pass theft reported.
Sunday, April 17
11:46 a.m., Grand Portage: Chimney fire reported
on East Highway 61.
2:00 p.m., Lutsen: Skier, 16, cited for theft of services after being caught skiing without a pass.
8:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Thunder Bay woman, 45,
cited for speeding.
9:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Washed-out section of
the shoulder of the highway reported near mile
marker 137, leaving a hole in the cement culvert.
MnDOT notified.
10:04 p.m., Silver Bay: Lake County notified
local authorities of a black vehicle that was all
over the road northbound on the highway from
Tettegouche. A deputy followed it to the county
line but did not find it.
