Monday, April 4
1:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance and First
Responders called out to help a heart attack
victim.
Tuesday, April 5
8:24 a.m., Lutsen: Deer struck and injured on Ski
Hill Road.
12:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost
passport.
1:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of a chainsaw
from a worksite reported.
6:18 p.m., Grand Portage: Report that a woman
who was under suspension was driving, and
possibly intoxicated.
Wednesday, April 6
11:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Fire alarms going off at
Great Expectations School. The fire department
checked it out, and everything appeared to be
okay, but the alarms were still going off. School
personnel could not be reached.
12:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Thunder Bay man, 46,
cited for speeding.
2:09 p.m., Grand Portage: Report that the woman
under suspension was still driving around. The
woman was subsequently arrested for a St. Louis
County warrant, and cited for driving under
suspension and no proof of insurance.
6:46 p.m., Lutsen: Assistance requested for a
motorist who was stuck on Temperance River
Road. A tow truck was called.
8:10 p.m., Lutsen: Hang-up call from a residence
on Caribou Trail investigated. A deputy found
everything to be okay.
9:30 p.m., Grand Portage: Thunder Bay man, 59,
cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
Thursday, April 7
11:43 p.m., Grand Portage: A deputy spoke
with a woman and her ex-boyfriend concerning
harassing phone calls.
Friday, April 8
10:31 a.m., Grand Portage: Loud gunshot heard
in Picnic Bay.
12:08 p.m., Grand Portage: Deputy requested at
the border for a small amount of marijuana and
drug paraphernalia.
1:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Investigation into
multiple 911 calls from a residence revealed a
child playing with the phone. All was okay.
2:48 p.m., Tofte: Holiday reported a $57.65 driveoff. It turned out to be a mix-up.
3:29 p.m., Grand Portage: A suspicious man
seen walking along the power lines carrying two
large bags was arrested on a Hennepin County
warrant.
8:01 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to a
verbal disagreement about the children. The
soon-to-be ex-husband had left the residence and
said he had no plans of going back.
Saturday, April 9
12:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Drug investigation.
1:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Open back door at the
Senior Center.
3:37 a.m., Grand Marais: A caller reported a
crime that was planned for the following day in
Duluth, and said he couldn’t get 911 down there
to take him seriously. The dispatcher took the
information and passed it along to the Duluth
sergeant on duty.
1:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported that she
was being harassed, and the person took her cell
phone and $200 out of her bank account.
2:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported an
e-Bay scam with a boat.
8:37 p.m., Grand Portage: Caller said her
ex-boyfriend is making threats on the Internet.
11:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Three juveniles, 12,
were found behind Gene’s Foods and cited for
curfew violation.
11:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais woman,
30, cited for DUI and driving under suspension,
and booked into jail.
Sunday, April 10
2:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on
Seagull Lake Road.
8:21 p.m., Grand Marais: State Patrol notified of a
dead deer in the middle of the road.
9:25 p.m., Grand Portage: Report of a rock slide
about a mile from the reservation.
