Monday, Jan. 10 9:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dead wolf on the upper side of the highway near Rock Cut. 12:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that there was a Christmas tree that must have fallen out of a vehicle on the highway near Superior Lumber. 3:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult investigation. Tuesday, Jan. 11 3:59 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to a violent domestic argument involving three people who had been drinking. A female was removed from the residence. 9:21 a.m., Tofte: Resident reported that someone urinated in front of their door. He was unsure if someone was trying to send him a message. 2:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Truck hit a guard rail just west of Cascade Restaurant, unknown injuries. 2:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck at mile marker 104. Wednesday, Jan. 12 1:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle rolled and totaled on County Road 8 between South Shore Drive and the general store. The driver suffered minor scrapes and cuts, and was treated at the scene. 9:44 a.m., Lutsen: A bunch of marijuana was found at Papa Charlie’s, and it was believed someone stashed it over the weekend. It was locked up until a deputy could pick it up. 10:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Highway Department reported that someone hit and damaged the guard rail at Loon Lake. A license plate was found nearby. 6:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported that somebody called her daughter a foul name on the phone, and wanted to speak with a deputy about it. 8:20 p.m., Lutsen: A group of four men took a golf cart on Ski Hill Road, and when someone tried to stop them, he was nearly run over. They then stopped at the “A” building and took shovels, and slid down Bridge Run. Thursday, Jan. 13 11:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Hit-and-run caused damage to two parked vehicles on Fifth Avenue West. 11:29 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to check into a suicide threat. 1:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Minor fender-bender involving the Como truck. 5:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that a vehicle parked on the shoulder of County Road 34 may be a traffic hazard. Friday, Jan. 14 7:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of an injured deer on County Road 7. 7:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of an injured deer east of town near Superior Lumber. 7:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint that somebody was plowing snow out into the road. 2:16 p.m., Grand Marais: A man was cited for disorderly conduct after he threatened somebody. 2:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Check forgery investigation. 3:10 p.m., Tofte: Gas drive-off reported. 3:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to speak with parties involved in a confrontation involving threats. It was determined nothing criminal was done. Saturday, Jan. 15 1:34 a.m., Grand Portage: An underage drinking party was reported at Bay Estates. Two men, ages 18 and 20, were arrested. 7:26 a.m., Grand Marais: Grand Marais man, 28, cited for driving after revocation. 10:17 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called out for a woman who was injured in a snowmobile accident. 11:18 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a 10-year-old boy with a neck injury. 11:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Inmate asked to see a doctor for anxiety issues. 2:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to speak with a store owner regarding a pile of sand and salt that was dumped in front of his building, supposedly because he wrote a letter to the editor about the city. A deputy advised him that it is not a criminal matter. 10:02 p.m., Lutsen: Lutsen Resort requested a deputy to evict a large group from the condos. Eight people were cited for illegal consumption and other related charges. 10:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Power outage reported on Creechville Road. The problem was determined to be with the outside box, and the resident took care of it herself. Sunday, Jan. 16 9:06 a.m., Lutsen: Deputy requested to be present when the group that was kicked out last night comes back to look for their $500 cash that was supposedly left in the room. 9:47 a.m., Lutsen: Stalled vehicle in the westbound lane in front of AEC. 12:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Inmate asked to see a doctor for breathing/panic attack issues. 1:48 p.m., Grand Marais: A group of snowmobilers reported that a vehicle was stuck on the snowmobile trail off the Sawbill. The vehicle had been removed when a deputy checked the area, and SRU was cancelled. 3:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy requested to speak with a person who was supposedly following the caller’s sister and nieces around.
