3:59 p.m. Lutsen: Ski Hill Road, Fraud/Scam/ID. A man
reported that his personal information was used to open
multiple bitcoin accounts. He had moved $9000 into a

that the man was who he said he was. He got the first call
this morning. The person on the phone said to go to the
Miller Hill Mall in Duluth and use the bitcoin machine
in the food court. The man took out cash to put into
the machine: $5000 to one of the numbers he was told
to enter. The second deposit was around $4371 and the
man added his own phone number to that record. The
man was advised to contact the bitcoin customer service
and cancel the transaction if possible. The man reported

10:54 a.m. Sawbill Trail: Unknown trouble. A woman
called from Canada and claimed that an abandoned
child (16-year-old obese boy with brown hair) would
be found at the Sawbill Campground area in a 30-32
foot trailer. She was convinced that the dog that went
missing in Tofte was stolen by a man and woman who
then went to the Sawbill Campground, abandoned the
16-year-old boy, and continued to drive on additional
roads. This information was revealed to the woman
through dowsing and crystals and maps. Investigation
determined that a large bank of snow was preventing any
vehicles from entering the campground.

vehicle, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, was stuck in deep snow.
The owners did not realize it was an unplowed road. The
woman and dog stayed with the vehicle. The man walked

moved the vehicle back out to the Gunflint Trail. The
man was picked up from the LEC. Everyone plus the dog
were out of the woods and okay.
