West.
10:43 a.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on Gunflint Trail.
11:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking complaint on West Second
Street was resolved.
11:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Animal disturbance on Shoe Lake Road.
4:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Complain on Kelly’s Hill regarding a dog
that was roaming and threatening neighbors. A deputy spoke with
the owners.
4:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported on West
Highway 61.
4:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Child protection/neglect issue reported.
5:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of hazardous material (pool
chemicals) on West Highway 61.
7:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy attempted to pick up a dog that
was roaming Third Avenue East and other streets.
8:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted another agency on East
Highway 61.
Friday, Nov. 1
12:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted another agency on East
Highway 61.
9:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Animal disturbance reported on Fourth
Avenue East.
10:56 a.m., Hovland: Traffic complaint on Magney Lane.
11:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver was locked out of his vehicle and
requested assistance.
1:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of tires reported.
5:11 p.m., Grand Marais: A debit card was found on First Avenue
West.
8:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Disturbance reported on First Avenue
East.
8:49 p.m., Grand Marais: False medical alarm on 11th Avenue
West.
Saturday, Nov. 2
7:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off Gunflint Trail,
about 8 miles up.
8:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Illegal dumping reported.
9:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Hazardous conditions (ice and snow)
reported on the Gunflint Trail.
Sunday, Nov. 3
4:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Medical call (seizure) on Second Avenue
East.

9:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a blue car has been parked
near Bluewater for five days.
10:15 a.m., Grand Marais: Damage to property reported at the jail.
An inmate ripped his jail uniform when he was asked to put it on,
and was later observed punching the door and wall.
7:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Automatic fire alarm on West Highway
61 was false.
7:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Disturbance by a neighbor reported on
First Avenue East. The caller said the man is “nuts” and collects
knives and guns.
Monday, Nov. 4
8:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Fraud attempt reported.
Tuesday, Nov. 5
9:59 a.m., Grand Portage: Gas drive-offs reported from the C-store.
The driver was located and he said he thought his credit card went
through. He returned to the store and paid.
9:59 a.m., Tofte: Telephone fraud attempt reported.
2:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Harassment.
3:51 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller with a flat tire was referred to State
Patrol.
4:24 p.m., Grand Portage: Suspicious activity reported at the
powwow grounds. Young females were seen entering a vehicle on
two separate occasions.
6:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Gas leak investigation on Sobanja
Lane. The tenant believed one of the appliances was leaking, and
Superior Fuel said they would check.
Wednesday, Nov. 6
5:59 a.m., Grand Marais: ATV patrol.
8:02 a.m., Grand Marais: A golden eagle was found stuck between
the trucks at Hedstrom Lumber.
8:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic disturbance.
8:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller lost a wallet on West Highway 61.
11:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Neighbor trouble/trespassing complaint.
11:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Miscellaneous fire call (monthly test
page).
1:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Animal disturbance on West Highway 61.
2:02 p.m., Grand Marais: The FedEx truck struck and killed a deer
on the highway. The caller wanted to keep the meat.
2:37 p.m., Grand Portage: Child protection/neglect investigation.
No imminent danger was found.
3:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy spoke with one of the protesters
on Second Avenue West. The subject then left willingly when asked
to.

Thursday, Nov. 7
8:21 a.m., Grand Marais: A dog running on West Highway 61 was
picked up and taken to the pound.
11:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Wallet lost on West First Street.
11:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Property lost/found on West Third
Street.
11:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Automatic fire alarm on West Highway
61 was cancelled.
Friday, Nov. 8
10:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on Voyageurs Point.
7:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on Birch Drive.
Saturday, Nov. 9
7:14 a.m., Hovland: Report of a deer-vehicle crash on Arrowhead
Trail. The deer ran off into the woods; the vehicle was driveable.
8:14 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a hazard on Ski Hill Road.
8:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Motor vehicle accident with an animal on
West Highway 61.
9:04 a.m., Grand Marais: Public assist (welfare check) on County
Road 60.
9:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a traffic hazard on West Fifth
Street.
10:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Animal welfare check requested.
11:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a hazard on County Road 6.
1:32 p.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle in the ditch off Lodge Road, due
to the icy road. No one was around.
4:41 p.m., Grand Portage: Medical call (fall victim) on Store Road.
11:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Wallet lost on Third Avenue West.
Sunday, Nov. 10
3:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Animal disturbance on Croftville Road.
6:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy stopped and spoke with a driver
who just struck a deer near Fall River. There was no damage done,
and the deer ran off.
6:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call (fainting and shaking
18-year-old) on West Highway 61.
8:17 p.m., Lutsen: Caller’s dog ran off from Cascade Beach Road.
9:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off East Highway 61.
