7:16 a.m., Grand Marais:
Hazard removed from
County Road 60.
10:32 a.m., Tofte: A kayak
was seen floating on Lake
Superior, but an extensive
search determined it had
probably just broken loose
from shore
1:45 p.m., Grand Marais:
Parking problem on Powers
Lake Road.
1:56 p.m., Grand Portage:
False fire alarm on Mile
Creek Road.
5:40 p.m., Grand Marais:
Personal injury accident on
Gunflint Trail. A vehicle was
upside down in the ditch
north of Brule. The driver
said he hit some slush and
was sucked off the road. A
tow truck was needed.
6:06 p.m., Grand Marais:
Animal disturbance on West
Highway 61.
6:33 p.m., Grand Marais:
Suspicious activity on South
Broadway.
Sunday, Oct. 13
10:43 a.m., Grand Marais:
Two vehicle hit a deer on the
highway, damaging both and
killing the deer. State Patrol
handled the accident.
12:07 p.m., Grand Marais:
Public assist on Caps Trail.
4:00 and 5:06 p.m., Grand
Portage: Report of speeding
vehicles on Townsite and
Upper roads. A deputy was
unable to locate them.
Tuesday, Oct. 15
12:05 a.m., Grand Marais:
Damage to property
reported on West Fifth
Street. Resident reported
that someone broke her
vehicle window.
7:10 a.m., Hovland:
Livestock complaint. The
school bus driver said there
are a whole bunch of horses
loose on the Camp 20 Road.
10:15 a.m., Grand Marais:
Deputy assisted another
Public Health & Human
Services at Pine Mountain
Court.

10:42 a.m., Grand Marais:
Medical call (general
weakness) on West Second
Street.
12:11 p.m., Grand Portage:
Order violation.
3:18 p.m., Grand Marais:
Deputy assisted another
agency on Gunflint Trail.
Wednesday, Oct. 16

3:11 a.m., Grand Marais:
Report of phone fraud.
Caller said her husband fell
for it and sent $2,000.
6:00 a.m., Grand Marais:
ATV patrol.
8:20 a.m., Grand Marais:
Deputy spoke with the
owner of a dog that had
been left off its leash to
“roam” on West Second
Street.
11:47 a.m., Grand Marais:
Deputy assisted with a
property exchange on
County Road 7.
1:42 p.m., Grand Marais:
Motor vehicle accident
reported. A Northland truck
backed into another vehicle
at a stop sign near Steve’s
Sports.
3:55 p.m., Tofte: Reported
vehicle accident on Highway
61. Three people were taken
to Lakeview Hospital in Two
Harbors for evaluation.
7:10 p.m., Grand Marais:
Caller said all the street
lights were out downtown
and along the harbor,
including the Point. The city
PUC was notified, and said
they will wait and check it
tomorrow.
