Sunday, July 21
12:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint on
Wisconsin Street. The owner was cooperative when advised
of the city ordinance and turned the music off.
1:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on West Highway 61.
The callers were concerned about their friend, who had been
drinking and left the bar by herself. She could not be found
despite a lengthy search. She was eventually found at their
campsite and was okay.
12:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost wallet on North
Broadway.
1:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost wallet reported, probably
dropped at the overlook in Grand Portage.
2:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Public assist at Pine Mountain
Court.
9:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Child protection/neglect reported.
9:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Business checks.
Tuesday, July 23
3:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Residence check.
9:39 a.m., Grand Portage: Residence check.
10:26 a.m., Lutsen: Medical call on Ski Hill Road after a
piece of furniture fell on a guest, who said it feels like her leg
is broken. Transported to the hospital.
10:44 a.m., Grand Marais: A checkbook was found in
the parking area at the liquor store, and the owner was
contacted.
11:16 a.m., Grand Marais: An empty flat bed trailer was left
parked on the side of the road at Fall River. The owner said
he was trying to get it moved; it was not a hazard.
11:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Fraud/scam phone call reported.
1:05 p.m., Grand Portage: Rescue personnel called to an
elevator emergency at the national monument.
2:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Personal injury accident on West
Highway 61.
2:43 p.m., Grand Marais: A woman flagged down a deputy
on East Highway 61 to report a missing 5-year-old, who was
last seen 30-40 minutes ago. The child was located about 15
minutes later.
3:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic disturbance reported on
East Highway 61. The caller’s father and sister were fighting.
3:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical transport.
4:53 p.m., Grand Portage: Residence check.
4:55 p.m., Grand Marais: A purple bag containing
prescription glasses was found near Loon Lake.
9:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic disturbance.
