6:09 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a person stumbling around
near the school on West Fifth Street. Unable to locate.
7:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Medical call (seizure) on Second Avenue
East.
8:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Property lost/found on Gunflint Trail.
10:21 a.m., Hovland: Hazard reported on Chicago Bay Road.
10:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy performed a number of
business and residence checks.
1:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from North Broadway noticed the
tabs were missing from his license plate. There are no suspects.
10:25 p.m., Grand Portage: Car-deer accident reported on
Reservation River Road. The vehicle was driveable.
10:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy performed numerous business
and residence checks.

12:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Residence checks requested.
7:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Medical transport on Fifth Avenue West.
7:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Detail on West Fifth Street.
Tuesday, May 21
6:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Canine training.
7:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller concerned about a vehicle on the
side of the road.
7:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Water patrol.
8:01 a.m., Grand Portage: Residence check.
9:21 a.m., Grand Marais: Lost credit card on Wisconsin Street.
10:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Security alarm on Rollins Creek Road.
10:57 a.m., Grand Portage: Burglary reported on Store Road. The
stand outside the powwow grounds was broken into. There are no
suspects.
1:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted another agency on East
Highway 61.
1:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of an erratic driver on West
Highway 61. Referred to State Patrol.
1:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Business checks.
2:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Damage to a fireplace at Mayhew Inn
reported.
2:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to a civil dispute on Pike
Lake Road regarding a gate and chains across the road.
2:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Old ammunition was dropped off at the
Law Enforcement Center.
10:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call at Paradise Park Place for
a fall victim, who was taken to the hospital.
Wednesday, May 22
4:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller on Lindskog Road reported that a
transformer blew, and the power was out..
6:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a fire in a unit at Mangy
Moose Motel. It was put out before the fire department arrived.
9:09 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a speeding vehicle on
West Highway 61. The driver was cited.
1:25 p.m., Grand Portage: A break-in to a residence on Store Road
was reported; the incident happened two or three weeks ago.
1:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on South Broadway.
5:03 p.m., Grand Marais: Child protection/neglect investigation.
Referred to the county attorney.
8:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a hazard on Leveaux Ridge.
Thursday, May 23
7:35 a.m., Grand Marais: Criminal sexual conduct reported
(juvenile investigation).
8:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Request for an animal welfare check on
Devil Track Road.
9:42 a.m., Grand Marais: Property lost/found on East Highway 61.
11:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off West Highway
61. Referred to State Patrol.
12:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on Second Avenue East.
An 88-year-old man fell and was taken to the hospital.
1:00 p.m., Grand Marais: ATV complaint on County Road 7. The
driver was tested and passed a field sobriety test.
1:23 p.m., Grand Portage: Medical call on Casino Drive. A
60-year-old man fell and hit his head. He was taken to the
hospital.
5:13 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic complaint.
8:01 p.m., Lutsen: Automatic fire alarm on Cascade Beach Road.
8:42 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft reported after a person was seen
taking plants from Buck’s Hardware. Turns out the person is a
landscaper and has an agreement with the store.
8:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Property lost/found on West Highway
61.
Friday, May 24
8:19 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy called to a parking problem on
Casino Drive.
10:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking problem reported on West
Highway 61.
1:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost debit card on Gunflint Trail.
4:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Child protection/neglect reported.
4:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Property lost/found on Gunflint Trail.
8:39 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from East Highway 61 reported
smoke in the area. It was caused by a malfunctioning washing
machine.
9:38 p.m., Tofte: Theft reported on Rollins Ridge. A box was taken
from the bottom of a driveway.
Saturday, May 25
8:49 a.m., Grand Marais: Loose dog reported on East Highway 61.
11:32 a.m., Grand Portage: Security alarm on Upper Road was
cancelled.
2:00 p.m., Grand Marais: Security alarm on South Broadway was
cancelled.
4:02 p.m., Grand Marais: Large rock reported on East Highway
61.
6:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on Hungry Jack Road.
6:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on Pike Lake Road. A
diabetic male was taken to the hospital.
6:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of a jacket reported on Wisconsin
Street.Thereisaapossiblesuspect.
7:25 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic disturbance reported on East
Highway 61.
7:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on South Broadway.
8:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Animal disturbance on West Highway
61. There was a bear at a camp site; referred to the DNR.
11:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of suspicious activity on East
Fifth Street. There was a person biking around Great Expectations
School, who was gone when a deputy arrived.
