3:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Medical transport to Hibbing.
4:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Police transport.
7:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Graffiti reported on Fourth Avenue West.
10:39 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Gunflint Trail reported
“unknown trouble.”
10:44 a.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on East Highway 61.
11:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Property lost/found.
1:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Graffiti reported on Fifth Avenue West
and Third Avenue West.
3:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about an erratic driver on
West Highway 61 was referred to State Patrol.
4:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Business checks.
5:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Property lost/found on West Wisconsin
Street.
6:31 p.m., Tofte: Power outage on Sawbill Trail.
Monday, May 13
5:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Sexual assault investigation. The woman
who reported the incident ran from the residence.
7:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted at the jail.
9:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on Birch Drive. A deputy
changed the battery for Operation Lifesaver wrist band.
9:26 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of smoke on the Gunflint Trail. A
burning permit was activated.
11:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of graffiti/vehicle vandalism on
Fifth Avenue West.
1:45 p.m., Grand Marais: A delivery device was found on Gunflint
Trail. The owner was located.
6:05 p.m., Grand Portage: A person with a warrant turned himself
in.
9:38 p.m., Grand Marais: Loud music complaint from South
Broadway. The driver of the vehicle was warned.
Tuesday, May 14
3:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported on First
Avenue East. The caller said someone was knocking on doors;
determined to be unfounded.
9:39 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted PHHS on West Fifth
Street.
12:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Phone fraud reported.
1:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a disturbance on West Fifth
Street. A mental health patient was transported to North Shore
Health.
7:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on Fifth Avenue West. A
deputy checked an apartment for an oven possibly left on.
8:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical transport on Fifth Avenue West.
11:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a person sitting on the side of
the Gunflint Trail. The person was gone on arrival.
Wednesday, May 15
4:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Child protection/neglect reported after
children were left alone. Referred to PHHS.
7:46 a.m., Grand Portage: Gas drive-off reported from Ryden
Road. The vehicle was located and the driver turned back to pay.
9:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle vandalism reported on West
Third Street.
11:07 a.m., Grand Portage: Residence check requested.
7:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic complaint on Gunflint Trail.
Deputies were unable to locate the swerving vehicle.
7:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller reported that there were
unsupervised children at the playground on West Fifth Street. A
deputy checked, and the kids were fine.
10:33 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic disturbance (verbal)
reported. A deputy was able to calm the people down.
Thursday, May 16
12:43 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off County Road 60.
10:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller lost his Visa card, possibly at
Wunderbar.
11:14 a.m., Grand Marais: A deputy spoke with a person who was
allegedly disturbing patrons at Wunderbar.
11:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Business check requested.
12:33 p.m., Grand Portage: Public assist on Casino Drive.
1:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted another agency on West
Second Street.
3:48 p.m., Grand Marais: E-mail scam reported. There were no
funds lost.
3:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on Devil Track Road.
3:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic complaint on County Road 7.
4:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy called to a disturbance on East
Highway 61. The caller complained of excessive noise from Tire &
Auto Lodge.
8:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Welfare check requested.
Friday, May 17
1:35 a.m., Grand Marais: Residence check; everything was fine.
4:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on 11th Avenue West.
7:00 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made for violation of an OFP.
8:07 a.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on Gunflint Trail.
8:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Alarm on West Wisconsin Street was
cleared.
9:56 a.m., Lutsen: Financial exploitation of a deceased relative
reported on White Pine Lane.
11:06 a.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on East Third Street. A
person passed away at G.M. Family Dental.
11:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic complaint on West Second Street.
4:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Fraud reported on Gunflint Trail.
8:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted Two Harbors PD with a
hit and run.
9:00 p.m., Grand Portage: Warrant arrest on Upper Road.
Saturday, May 18
11:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity on East Highway 61.
The caller said a fisherman walked through his property to get to
the river. The person was gone on arrival.
12:50 p.m., Grand Marais: No Parking Zone violation at Devil
Track River. The driver was warned.
3:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic complaint on West Highway 61.
3:59 p.m., Grand Marais: A wallet was found on West Highway 61,
and the owner notified.
6:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Juvenile trouble reported on West Fifth
Street. Juveniles were throwing bottles at another juvenile; their
parents were notified.
6:12 p.m., Hovland: Caller from Chicago Bay Store requested a
welfare check for a person who seemed “off.” Unable to locate.
7:10 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle lock in or lock out.
7:22 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on West Highway 61.
7:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on East Third Street.
