Monday, March 11
3:54 a.m., Grand Marais: Security alarm on West Highway 61.
6:56 a.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle theft reported on Ryden
Road. The vehicle was subsequently recovered and an arrest
was made.
9:50 a.m.-10:15 a.m., Grand Marais: Residence and business
checks.
12:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical transport.
3:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic complaint was made after the
Arrowhead bus passed a school bus on the right at Chippewa
Trail
3:50 p.m., Grand Marais: Phone scam reported.
6:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Domestic disturbance report led to
an arrest of a Grand Marais woman.
8:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on West Highway 61; a
driver was locked out of his car.
Tuesday, March 12
8:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Security alarm on Chicago Bay Road
was cancelled.
2:37 p.m., Lutsen: Medical call on Ski Hill Road.
2:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on Birch Drive;
Operation Lifesaver check.
6:34 p.m., Grand Marais: A credit card was found on Gunflint
Trail.
8:16 p.m., Grand Marais: An ATV accident was reported on
East Highway 61 and the driver cited for careless operation.
Two juveniles, ages 14 and 12, suffered injuries.
10:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Shots heard on East Highway 61.
Unable to locate.
Wednesday, March 13
6:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Police transport.
8:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Injured deer reported on East
Highway 61.
9:01 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off Devil Track
Road. A tow truck was called.
1:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical transport.
3:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint of a loose dog on 10th
Avenue West.
4:17 p.m., Lutsen: Medical call on Ski Hill Road.
5:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Welfare check requested on South
Broadway for some swimmers in wetsuits.
9:25 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic disturbance resulted in
the arrest of a Grand Portage man.
10:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Attempt to locate an overdue
snowmobiler on South Gunflint Lake was cancelled when the
missing person returned.
11:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Threats reported; referred to county
attorney.
Thursday, March 14
6:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Medical transport.
8:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Residence check.
12:34 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on East Third Street.
12:52 p.m., Grand Marais: A driver’s license was reported lost
on Gunflint Trail.
1:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Hazard reported on County Road 7
due to water across the road.
2:09 p.m., Grand Marais: Business check.
2:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of water across the roadway
on West Highway 61.
4:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dangerous animal on
Fourth Avenue West. It was believed to be a bobcat and the
incident was referred to the DNR.
4:36 p.m., Grand Portage: Medical call on Blazes Road.
5:22 p.m., Grand Portage: Medical call on Casino Drive.

6:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle in the ditch off East Highway

6:36 a.m., Grand Marais: Water hazard reported on County
Road 7.
10:28 a.m., Lutsen: Medical call on Caribou Trail.
10:43 a.m., Grand Marais: Reported payroll scam was reported
to the FBI.
2:43 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller on West Second Street
reported unknown juvenile trouble.
3:27 p.m., Tofte: Report of a traffic hazard, water on Sawbill
Trail.
3:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted probation with
checks.
9:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Business checks.
Saturday, March 16
4:31 a.m., Grand Portage: Medical call on Casino Drive.
9:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Traffic complaint on Gunflint Trail.
10:51 a.m., Grand Marais: Welfare check requested.
12:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Drug arrest of an Ontario woman
made at the Grand Portage Port of Entry.
1:45 p.m., Hovland: Water hazard reported on Arrowhead
Trail.
8:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Residence check requested.
9:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic hazard reported on West
Highway 61 due to high water.
Sunday, March 17
3:09 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic disturbance reported.
6:35 a.m., Grand Portage: Domestic disturbance reported.
10:40 a.m., Grand Portage: A dead dog was found in the ditch
on Mile Creek Road.
11:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted with probation
checks, and a citation was issued for possession of drug
paraphernalia.
12:59 p.m., Grand Portage: An intoxicated Ontario man was
arrested and charged with DUI at the Port of Entry.
3:37 p.m., Grand Marais: Medical call on White Pine Lane.
5:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted another agency on
Gunflint Trail.
7:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Injury reported.
8:56 p.m., Hovland: Medical call on Moose Valley Road.
Monday, March 18
9:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Dead deer reported on West
Highway 61.
10:14 a.m., Grand Marais: Business check.
10:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Threats reported, purportedly from
an angry former employee.
11:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Loose dog complaint on Gunflint
Trail.
1:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Public assist on Moose Ridge.
1:39 p.m., Grand Marais: A Lutsen man was arrested for DUI.
1:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Welfare check reported.
2:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Damage to property reported on
West Fifth Street; bleach was poured on unattended laundry.
