1:52 p.m., Grand Marais: A deer was struck by a truck
near mile marker 117.
2:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of possible graffitiing at
Artist Point.
5:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle on the
highway near Fall River Road.
9:13 p.m., Grand Portage: Alarm set off at the
Community Center.

12:31 a.m., Grand Marais: Suspicious activity reported at
Grandma Ray’s.
10:23 a.m., Grand Marais: A business owner reported
that someone tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. They
did not accept it.
10:56 a.m., Grand Marais: Fire alarm set off on South
Broadway.
11:57 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver said a bald eagle hit his
windshield while he was traveling just north of Five Mile
Rock.
1:12 p.m., Lutsen: Deer struck and killed by a vehicle on
the highway near Caribou Trail.
1:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Courthouse security.
2:06 p.m., Grand Marais: Attempted fraud reported.
6:00 p.m., Tofte: Report of an injured deer (broken front
leg) near the mini storage units.
Wednesday, April 4
8:04 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Surfside Resort.
9:50 a.m., Tofte: False fire alarm at Bluefin.
10:48 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller at Artist Point
dislocated her shoulder and needed directions to the
hospital.
3:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Two gas drive-offs reported
from SuperAmerica.
Thursday, April 5
7:46 a.m., Grand Marais: School patrol.
9:30 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller wanted to know if it’s
legal to shoot squirrels inside the city limits. It’s not legal.
10:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Damage reported at a job site.
10:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle struck an animal on
the highway at mile marker 112.
4:09 p.m., Tofte: Report of an erratic driver on the
highway.
Friday, April 6
9:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Fourth Avenue
said some garbage from a Dumpster is blowing into the
harbor.
10:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Inmate transport.
3:43 p.m., Grand Marais: A woman stopped in the Law
Enforcement Center with a young boy, whom she said
she picked up on the road.
Saturday, April 7
9:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Attempted phone scam
reported.
11:01 a.m., Grand Marais: Scam phone call received.
11:32 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
22-year-old man with a clavicle injury.
12:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller’s yellow lab was loose
somewhere in town. Last seen near Gofer Trailer Court.
5:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller wanted to know what to
do about her daughter-in-law, who’s trying to get her son
into trouble again, and stealing money.
7:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about loud vehicles
racing up Broadway and heading toward the school.
Sunday, April 8
1:25 a.m., Lutsen: A woman called from Ski Hill Road
and said she believes she was poisoned at the bar. She
was speaking very slowly and slurred, and feels sick and
dehydrated.
8:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Inmate transport.
9:14 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller reported a structure fire
on Upper Road.
9:33 a.m., Lutsen: Report of a suspicious man at
Clearview store. He looked like he needed help.
9:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Inmate transport.
11:20 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a man who walks
his dog daily near Homestead Cooperative does not
comply with the leash laws.
1:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he lost a wad of
money near GunFlint Tavern.
