Monday, Feb. 5
7:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said her
neighbor’s dog was in her yard again. In the
past, the dog has killed her chickens.
7:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Safe Routes to
School.
8:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Person stopped in
the Law Enforcement Center, and wanted
to speak with a deputy regarding certain
human behavior.
11:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Prisoner
transport.
2:24 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted
Public Health & Human Services.
2:36 p.m., Grand Marais: A released inmate
was given a ride downtown.
6:00 p.m., Tofte: Report of debris all over
the highway between Carlton Peak and
Temperance River.
Tuesday, Feb. 6
7:44 a.m., Grand Marais: School bus patrol.
9:19 a.m., Tofte: Five fraudulent checks
were received at Holiday (written on a
closed account).

9:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller saw
footprints of someone walking around the
house and up to the door.
3:23 p.m., Grand Marais: School bus patrol.
Wednesday, Feb. 7
10:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy
transported a subject to detox in Duluth.
3:25 p.m., Hovland: Vehicle stuck in the
ditch at Hong Hill-Camp 20 Road.
3:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a
driver currently heading eastbound on
the highway does not have a valid driver’s
license.
4:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
5:30 p.m., Grand Marais: Truck stuck in the
ditch at Gunflint Trail-East Bearskin Road.
Thursday, Feb. 8
7:45 a.m., Grand Marais: School patrol.
8:02 a.m., Grand Marais: Burglar alarm on
West Wisconsin Street at Sven & Ole’s.
8:18 a.m., Grand Portage: Safe Routes to
School.

8:28 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller believes
someone is living in his seasonal house. The
utility bill is high, and AEC verified that
electricity is being used.
8:51 a.m., Grand Portage: Deputy assisted
Human Services.
11:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a
sled dog has been hanging out near his
residence on County Road 7, and it matches
the description of a sled dog missing from
town that’s posted on Facebook.
2:20 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation
issued.
Friday, Feb. 9
9:50 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted a
probation officer.
10:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
dachshund walking around County Road
14.
12:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a
suspicious person walking around the
courthouse, asking strange questions.
2:51 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the
ski hill for a 61-year-old female with a knee
injury.

10:35 p.m., Grand Portage: Domestic
argument.
Saturday, Feb. 10
9:40 a.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation
issued.
9:45 a.m., Tofte: Caller was locked out of
his car.
12:17 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of water
flowing over Round Lake Road from a
frozen culvert, creating a hazard.
2:24 p.m., Lutsen: A vehicle flew off the
road and hit a pole at mile marker 91.
10:11 p.m., Grand Marais: The hospital was
experiencing phone problems.
Sunday, Feb. 11
10:11 a.m., Grand Marais: The phones were
down at the hospital again.
11:32 a.m., Grand Marais: A lost dog was
wandering around Croftville Road.
11:47 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on
County Road 14.
12:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of people
skating in the harbor.
