10:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost small red
pouch.
11:07 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
12-year-old female with a back injury.
10:34 p.m., Lutsen: Two traffic citations issued.
Saturday, Dec. 30
6:22 a.m., Grand Marais: A tree fell and took the power
out on Cascade Beach Road.
6:33 a.m., Schroeder: A tree fell on the highway at mile
marker 79.
8:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Shorts Road was
having problems with his heat.
10:56 a.m., Lutsen: A vehicle was hit in the parking lot at
Caribou Highlands.
11:19 a.m., Schroeder: Caller’s vehicle broke down near
Satellite’s Café and was partially blocking the highway.
11:25 a.m., Tofte: Vehicle slid off Overlook Trail and hit
a tree.
12:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Passerby noticed the outside
door of a camper at the Rec Park banging back and forth
in the wind.

has no water; the meter is busted.
10:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle in the ditch off
Casino Drive.

12:19 p.m., Grand Marais: Tow truck needed for a
vehicle in the ditch off County Road 44.
8:19 p.m., Lutsen: Caller said he was disappointed with
the fireworks at Lutsen Mountains, and there were
people with exposed skin.
11:31 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a possible drunk
driver on the Gunflint Trail near Cutoff Road.

12:42 a.m., Schroeder: Complaint about fireworks on the
lake side of Highway 61.
1:33 a.m., Grand Portage: Basement door alarm on Mile
Creek Road.
3:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Chimney fire on Devil Track
Road; there was smoke in the house.

Mountain Road.

9:04 a.m., Tofte: Caller asked if a deputy could check on
her children.
9:37 a.m., Grand Marais: All four tires of a van on East
Fifth Street were slashed.
10:46 a.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
3:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller notified law enforcement
that the dog pound was going to be “flea bombed” at 11
p.m. due to a cat that had been staying there.
4:11 p.m., Hovland: Caller said a phone he bought on
eBay was reported stolen from Walmart.
9:33 p.m., Grand Marais: An SUV was seen in the ditch
off Gunflint Trail near South Brule Road.
11:12 p.m., Grand Marais: A deputy transported a
person from the hospital to detox.
Wednesday, Jan. 3
2:49 a.m., Grand Portage: Caller believes someone is in
her house, and can hear someone walking outside.
2:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Driver just hit a deer on West
Highway 61.
5:14 a.m., Grand Marais: A hospital employee just put
her car in the ditch near the horse park, and walked to
work.
7:50 a.m., Grand Portage: School patrol.
8:48 a.m., Grand Marais: Ambulance called to the
YMCA for a cardiac emergency.
8:53 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller said Fifth Avenue West
is an ice rink.
8:35 p.m., Grand Marais: Report that a silver car has
been in the hospital lot for two days, and the trunk is
open.
