8:10 a.m., Lutsen: Parking complaint regarding a vehicle
parked on Alfred Creek/Highway 61, blocking part of
the roadway.
10:26 a.m., Grand Marais: Parking issue at the Rec Park.
11:19 a.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle into the ditch at mile
marker 94-95.
11:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Two-car accident at the credit
union.
12:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a lost cell phone
downtown, possibly near the library.
1:18 p.m., Grand Marais: Attempted phone fraud
reported.
2:04 p.m., Grand Marais: Carbon monoxide alarm was
going off at a Fourth Avenue West residence, which is
unoccupied.
3:41 p.m., Grand Marais: A black-and-white dog was
running around near the liquor store.

Saturday, Dec. 23
11:24 a.m., Grand Marais: A set of keys was lost.
3:12 p.m., Schroeder: Fire alarm at Temperance Landing
was determined to be false.
3:16 p.m., Grand Marais: A downtown business reported
the theft of earrings valued at $20.
4:53 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a vehicle near
Fall River Road-Highway 61.
5:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
Sunday, Dec. 24
6:45 a.m., Grand Marais: A deputy checked on a vehicle
parked near Sawtooth Lumber that was running, and no
one was in it.
6:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Vehicle hit a wolf at mile
marker 112.
Monday, Dec. 25
8:26 a.m., Lutsen: Caller from Happy Acres Drive said
her electric storage heaters didn’t re-charge overnight.
1:11 p.m., Lutsen: Motorist called to say that her van
died on West Highway 61, and is partially on the
roadway. She has called someone to move it.
1:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Inmate transport.
5:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there is a deer
carcass in the middle of the southbound lane of the
highway at County Road 7. It’s mostly a skeleton.
7:05 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy checked on a motorist
stopped on the highway at Five Mile Rock. He ran out of
gas and is waiting for someone to bring some.
Tuesday, Dec. 26
1:01 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a plow truck in the middle
of the Caribou Trail.
1:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Lost license plate reported.
3:33 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
9:01 p.m., Lutsen: Power outage reported on County
Road 35.
9:13 p.m., Lutsen: Caller on West Highway 61 had power,
but the electric heat was not working.
Wednesday, Dec. 27
11:30 a.m., Lutsen: Domestic altercation reported. The
caller’s boyfriend just threw a box of light bulbs at her
house.
1:07 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dog in a front yard
on Fifth Avenue West with at least one of its paws having
frost bite.
2:04 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
17-year-old male suffering from concussion symptoms.
3:29 p.m., Lutsen: Report of a truck parked on the
Honeymoon Trail with the engine running and a dog
inside.
3:32 p.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill for a
potential concussion.
3:49 p.m., Grand Marais: Search & Rescue called to
locate a person lost on the Pincushion Trail.
5:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Inmate transport.
7:07 p.m., Grand Marais: The three-legged husky was
seen running down Second Avenue East toward the
highway.
8:32 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
Thursday, Dec. 28
3:53 a.m., Grand Marais: A man at the ER entrance
asked if he could come in to warm up.
6:37 a.m., Grand Marais: Alarm set off at a Harbor View
Trail residence.
9:55 a.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle accident at
Gunflint Trail-Fifth Avenue West. No injuries reported.
1:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Two-vehicle accident at North
Broadway-West Highway 61. No injuries reported.
2:26 p.m., Grand Marais: Tow truck requested at mile
marker 101.
3:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy assisted a motorist at
County Road 6-Devil Track Road.
4:40 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said his wife is
snowshoeing, and is lost somewhere near Bally Creek
Road.
4:47 p.m., Lutsen: Rollover reported on the highway.
7:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said he observed a man
dressed in all white walking westbound on West Fifth
Street near Eighth Avenue West.
