accident at Mile Creek Road. The car was
not driveable; the deer was not dead.

attempting to be served alcohol at Papa
Charlie’s using others’ IDs.

12:32 a.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made for
DWI.
11:07 a.m., Grand Marais: A cell phone
was found and turned in at the Sheriff ’s
Office.
11:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Domestic abuse
reported.
12:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said
there is a husky in the dog park, and no
one around.
7:50 p.m., Grand Portage: Suspicious
activity investigated at the Customs
building.
8:55 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation
issued.
9:19 p.m., Grand Portage: Deer struck by
a vehicle near Mile Creek Road. The car
was still driveable; the deer ran off into the
woods.
Monday, Dec. 18
7:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Safe Routes to
School.
12:12 p.m., Grand Marais: A chocolate lab
was seen running on Eighth Avenue West.
6:11 p.m., Grand Marais: A fuel delivery
driver was overdue.
Tuesday, Dec. 19
3:21 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by
a vehicle on East Highway 61, and is still
alive in the ditch.
10:30 a.m., Grand Marais: False fire alarm
on West Fifth Street.
1:36 p.m., Grand Marais: A sled dog
wearing a gray harness was running on
the highway at mile marker 116. The caller
picked him up and will keep the dog at his
house.
4:10 p.m., Lutsen: Caller was concerned
about how high his electric bill is, and is
concerned someone may be squatting at
his home.
4:41 p.m., Lutsen: Management at Lutsen
Mountains requested that an abandoned
vehicle in their parking lot be towed.
7:01 p.m., Grand Marais: A yellow-hair
dog that was running on the highway east
of town was picked up and brought into
the Law Enforcement Center.
Wednesday, Dec. 20
6:38 a.m., Grand Marais: Assault reported
at a local business after a customer
slapped an employee in the face.
7:49 a.m., Grand Portage: School zone
patrol.
3:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said there
was a man sleeping in a black SUV in a
driveway on Devil Track Road, blocking
the whole driveway.
4:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller warned
that the lower block of the Gunflint Trail
was very icy.
5:45 p.m., Grand Marais: Deer struck by a
vehicle at County Roads 48 and 7.
7:51 p.m., Lutsen: Traffic citation issued.
