6:22 a.m., Grand Marais: Fire alarm on East Highway

7:18 a.m., Grand Marais: Power outage on Cascade
Beach Road.

10:29 a.m., Grand Marais: A truck was found on the
snowmobile trail near Meridian Road.
2:59 p.m., Grand Marais: A deer was struck by a
vehicle on County Road 7. The windshield and
driver’s side window were smashed out.

4:21 p.m., Grand Marais: A boat owner requested
extra patrols of the marina, due to recent vandalism at
the Rec Park.
9:44 p.m., Grand Marais: A large piece of paper was
removed from the roadway.
9:59 p.m., Grand Marais: A neighbor of the hospital is
upset about the use of generators overnight.
Wednesday, Nov. 22
8:25 a.m., Grand Marais: Theft of make-up worth
$155.59 reported.
9:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Courthouse security.
9:40 a.m., Hovland: Vehicle struck a deer on the
highway.
10:13 a.m., Grand Marais: Caller expressed concern
for the animals at Putt ’N Pets, as there are no new
footprints to show feeding, and there was no food
or water anywhere. The call was unfounded, as the
animals are not kept at Putt ’N Pets property – they
are in heated shelters with food elsewhere.
11:46 a.m., Grand Marais: Courthouse security.
2:29 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Fireplace Road
said an alarm at his neighbor’s has been going off
every couple of hours for a long time now.
4:27 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
6:44 p.m., Grand Marais: Report of a deceased dog on
the highway at mile marker 122.
7:30 p.m., Hovland: Caller wanted a lineman to
respond to Hammer Road, where a U-Haul was in the
ditch and caught on a guy wire.
10:36 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy spotted Sage, the
three-legged husky, near the storage units on East
Highway 61.
Thursday, Nov. 23
2:42 a.m., Hovland: Deer-car collision.
10:52 a.m., Grand Marais: Deer-car collision.
11:41 a.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
12:14 p.m., Tofte: Traffic citation issued.
12:30 p.m., Schroeder: Traffic citation issued.
1:20 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
2:33 p.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
3:21 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller said a vehicle went
sideways into the ditch off County Road 60, and then
drove out of it.

East Highway 61 needed to be dispatched.

vehicle speeding through town.
8:59 p.m., Tofte: Deer struck by a vehicle on the
highway.

9:33 a.m., Schroeder: Caller said there are dead deer
parts all over the highway.
6:52 p.m., Hovland: Complaint about someone
shooting off fireworks on North Road.
8:15 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
8:39 p.m., Grand Marais: An older yellow Lab was
wandering around near My Sister’s Place.
Saturday, Nov. 25
5:01 a.m., Grand Marais: False alarm set off at
Johnson’s Foods.
8:29 a.m., Grand Portage: Gas drive-off from Ryden’s.
10:09 a.m., Lutsen: Ambulance called to the ski hill
for a man with an unknown injury.
12:48 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
3:54 p.m., Grand Marais: Deputy spoke with a person
who was skateboard-riding in the lane of traffic on
West Fifth Street.
5:56 p.m., Grand Marais: A disturbance involving two
women was reported at the hospital’s front entrance.
9:05 p.m., Tofte: A dog in a room at AmericInn has
been barking for hours, and no one answers the door.
Sunday, Nov. 26
10:33 a.m., Grand Marais: A wallet was found on the
highway just east of town.
1:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from County Road 7
could see a lot of white smoke, but was unsure of its
exact location.
3:58 p.m., Grand Marais: Motorist hit two deer near
mile marker 97 last Thursday and wanted to report it.
6:52 p.m., Grand Portage: Vehicle rolled into the ditch
near Ryden’s Border Store.
8:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
8:57 p.m., Grand Marais: Traffic citation issued.
