Monday, Oct. 9
10:24 a.m., Grand Marais: Security provided at the courthouse.
11:55 a.m., Lutsen: Theft reported at Lutsen Mountains.
12:23 p.m., Grand Marais: Tree down on East Bearskin Road.
12:57 p.m., Tofte: Lost collie from a West Highway 61 residence
reported.
8:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Two dogs were seen running loose on
First Avenue West-West Fourth Street.

Tuesday, Oct. 10
12:30 a.m., Grand Portage: Arrest made for fifth-degree
criminal sexual conduct.
11:17 a.m., Grand Marais: Complaint about a logging truck
driving erratically and hot-rodding on South Brule Road.
8:08 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Harbor View Apartments
saw an injured dog limping east on Third Street.
8:46 p.m., Grand Marais: Report from Murmur Creek Road of
a suspicious man just walking up and down the road.

Wednesday, Oct. 11
8:45 a.m., Grand Marais: Car into the ditch on the lake side of
the highway, and another car blocking the highway near Spruce
Creek. Three people are outside.
9:49 a.m., Grand Portage: Credit card fraud reported.
10:21 a.m., Grand Marais: Two pit bulls which were off the
leash at the Rec Park attacked another dog, which was rushed
to the vet.
11:08 a.m., Grand Marais: Deputy checked on the driver of a
disabled semi near Five Mile Rock. Someone was coming from
Thunder Bay with a part to fix it.
12:59 p.m., Grand Marais: Mailbox vandalized on Sobanja
Lane.
1:47 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from Magney State Park said
there was no one in the park office to help them.
2:12 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller saw a red fox with a trap on its
foot down in the ditch off Pike Lake Road.

Thursday, Oct. 12
7:12 a.m., Grand Marais: Report of a dead deer on the highway.
10:00 a.m., Grand Portage: Traffic citation issued.
10:18 a.m., Hovland: Caller has heard shots on Flute Reed
Road for the past 15 minutes.
11:06 a.m., Lutsen: A 57-year-old man fell down a flight of
stairs at Eagle Ridge and suffered a broken nose. He can’t
remember what happened.
11:16 a.m., Grand Marais: Illegal camping reported on East
Highway 61.
12:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller left his knife on the Superior
Hiking Trail near the Canadian border.
5:16 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller found a chainsaw near the
center line at Pincushion Mountain Overlook.
7:52 p.m., Grand Marais: Dead deer on County Road 14.
9:11 p.m., Grand Marais: Caller from County Road 7 said a
truck was tearing up his front yard again.

Friday, Oct. 13
8:26 a.m., Lutsen: A 56-year-old man suffered propane burns
on his face, hands and head.
9:58 a.m., Grand Marais: Citizen had some questions about
what type of motor scooters are allowed on city streets.
3:28 p.m., Grand Marais: Trouble with tenants at Birchwood
Apartments.
3:39 p.m., Grand Marais: School bus stop arm violation
reported near the Kadunce River wayside.
5:43 p.m., Hovland: Caller from North Road said his neighbors
are shooting off tannerite, and it’s shaking the house.
6:41 p.m., Grand Marais: Arrest made on a man with Cook
County and Wisconsin warrants.
6:56 p.m., Grand Marais: Theft of a cell phone reported.
9:12 p.m., Grand Portage: Arrest made on a Cook County
warrant.
